The Creative Life initiative, founded by Harrie Mulé, aims to nurture emerging artists in the Hudson Valley, addressing a significant gap in opportunities for live performances and collaboration. Recognizing that new artists often struggle to find venues to showcase their work and face challenges in having their original creations accepted, Harrie established this concept to foster an environment where actors can perform to hone their craft and playwrights can show case their original works in front of a live audience.

To bring this vision to life, several initiatives have been launched under The Creative Life umbrella. “Make a Scene©” productions serve as talent showcases, offering a platform where diverse voices and stories can be celebrated while allowing performers and writers to present their work to a live audience. This initiative aims to cultivate a community that encourages unique voices and collaboration among artists, enabling them to support one another while growing in their respective crafts.

Central to this mission are Harrie’s “Creativity Workshops” initiative which aims to inspire individuals to keep their creativity alive while fostering connections that enrich their artistic journeys. These workshops are designed to help individuals overcome creative blocks and reignite their imaginative spark in various aspects of the creative arts, specifically drama and writing. Harrie blends playfulness with essential techniques to enhance one’s creativity.

Another initiative the FREE Actors and Writers Meetup acts as networking hub for actors, performers and writers, to connect, exchange ideas and form connections.

Lastly, “Soul n Grow” retreats coming soon, will combine elements of the healing and creative arts, helping participants to learn ways for well-being, reigniting the imagination, and experience their unique self-expression.

The Creative Life contributes to the cultural vitality of the Hudson Valley region by nurturing creativity and providing a hub within our communities to encourage artistic growth and innovation.

My goal is a commitment to nurturing the arts community in the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas, and to provide opportunities for artistic growth and collaboration. I believe that creativity is a means to overcome the isolation we face in this digital age and a way to bring community together. – Harrie Mulé
